“I knew after my first adjustment, that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life!” - Dr. TC Stephens
Dr TC’S passion for chiropractic care started at 16 years old, after he had injured his back in a soccer game.
“I was playing for 2 teams at the time, while trying to be recruited to play in college. I didn’t have time to be injured! I had to work with a physical therapist and a chiropractor to get me back quickly. During the process I fell in love with learning about the body’s ability to heal itself and wanted to help others get out of pain, just like I was helped.”
After high school, Dr. TC played colligate soccer for Lees-McRae College, transferred to Appalachian State University after 2 years and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
“I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to specialize in chiropractic care or physical therapy during college. I just couldn’t shake the uniqueness and enjoyment I had when I was in the chiropractic office! So I stuck with my original plan to become a chiropractor and never looked back!”
Dr. TC went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus in March of 2022. During his time at Palmer, Dr. TC used his time to grow and help others by volunteering at school clubs such as the Passive Rehabilitation club and Motion Palpation Institute club. Voted by his peers, TC became the president and head representative for the Motion Palpation Institute club.
“My main goal going into school was to become the best adjuster I could be, which is why I put in so many extra hours outside of school. What I found along the way, was my passion for helping others grow and succeed. This passion and my love for sports created a driven mentally to learn my chiropractic technique and functional movements at a deeper level, so that I could be able to teach others.”
Dr. TC’s passion to help others and his love for sports lead him to open his own practice (Trilogy Chiropractic) in June of 2022, offering rehabilitative chiropractic care.
” Chiropractic care alone is really amazing at helping multiple health problems, but it is more of a temporary relief rather than actually fixing the problem. We are fixing the foundation of the structure (bones and joints), but if we don’t make a difference to the soft tissue anatomy that attaches to it (muscles tendons, ligaments) then we are not going to create a long lasting change. This is why I decided to open a practice that specializes in treating the body as a whole, creating longer lasting results.”
Dr. TC is determined to provide the best care possible for his clients by constantly learning and growing his clinical skill sets and knowledge. He is currently in the process of becoming an accredited Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He also has a goal to also become dry needle certified, as well as Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified by 2024.
